Hon. Craig A. Gargotta

Hon. Craig A. Gargotta is a U.S. Bankruptcy Judge for the Western District of Texas in San Antonio, appointed on Oct. 1, 2007. He previously served as an assistant U.S. attorney in San Antonio and clerked for Hon. Ronald B. King of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Texas. Judge Gargotta served as a contributing editor to the ABI Journal from 1993-2007 and to The San Antonio Lawyer from 1997-2001. He also was editor-in-chief of The Federal Lawyer from 2001-08, was an adjunct professor of legal writing at St. Mary's School of Law from 2002-06, and served as president of the San Antonio Chapter of the Federal Bar Association from 1996-98. Judge Gargotta received his undergraduate and Master's degrees from Texas A&M University, and his J.D. from St. Mary's University of San Antonio.
