Geoff Groshong is a sole practitioner with Groshong Law, PLLC in Seattle, where his practice focuses on insolvency, reorganization, receiverships and workouts. Throughout his more than 35 years of experience, he has represented debtors, debtors-in-possession, chapter 11 and chapter 7 trustees, creditors’ committees, secured lenders and other lienholders, unsecured creditors, licensors of intellectual property and asset-buyers, as well as lenders and receivers in state court receiverships. He also provides bankruptcy mediation services and has handled numerous mediations. Previously, Mr. Groshong was a partner with Miller Nash Graham & Dunn LLP. He is Board Certified in Business Bankruptcy Law by the American Board of Certification, and he has been recognized every year in Super Lawyers since 2003 and in The Best Lawyers in America since 2008. Mr. Groshong is a member of the American Bar Association, Federal Bar Association for the Eastern and Western Districts of Washington, King County Bar Association and ABI, for which he formerly co-chaired its Public Company and Claims Trading Committees. He also is a mediation panel member and executive committee member of the Thomas T. Glover Mediation Program for the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Washington. Mr. Groshong received his M.M. from Yale University and his J.D. from Northwestern University.
